Katie Price is a British celebrity who is sometimes known as Jordan, the name she used during the early part of her modeling career. She was born May 22nd, 1978 in Newport, Wales. Her parents split up when Katie was just four years old. After her mother remarried, Katie took on her step-father's last name. As a result, her full name is Katrina Amy Alexandria Alexis Infield Price.
In 1998, Katie's friends suggested that she send some photos in to a modeling agency. Even though Katie didn't expect anything, the agency called her into their London studios and did a test shoot before signing her to a contract. She appeared as a Page 3 topless model and for man men's magazines. Her modeling name was Jordan during this time. Price attempted to break out of modeling and into TV acting but with limited success. She was on the reality TV show "I'm a Celebrity:Get Me Out of Here!". Her future husband Peter Andre was also on the show.
At the same time as her appearance on the show, Price released her autobiography called "Being Jordan". She later released two other autobiographies. In addition to this, Price also ghostwrote four books under the name Rebecca Farnworth. After the modest success of these books, Price received an advance of ?300,000 for a series of 13 children's books themed around ponies. She also writes a regular column for "OK!" magazine.
Katie Price has one son from the football player Dwight Yorke and another son and a daughter by Peter Andre. Her first son is blind and is on the autistic spectrum. Price married Andre in 2007 but separated in 2009. In February 2010, Price married once again to a man named Alex Reid.
